FI Transfers

With all the running around you do – let us help you eliminate running between financial institutions. With Financial Institution Transfers (FI Transfers) you can free up some time enabling you to do more of the activities you enjoy most! FI Transfers, available when you login to online banking, empowers you to transfer funds between your First Credit Union accounts and your accounts held at other financial institutions. Here’s how it works. 

FI Transfers are easy to set up:

  1. Have the routing and account number of your other financial institution handy.
  2. Log into your First Credit Union account online.
  3. Click “Move Money”, then “Add External Account”.
  4. Input your other financial institution’s routing and account number.
  5. A small amount of change will be sent to test and verify account is valid.
  6. Wait for the test deposits to arrive at your other financial institution.
    1. (These small deposits will be reversed shortly after they appear – you will see 2 small deposit and one small withdrawal for the combined deposit amount.)
  7. Once you receive these temporary small deposits, log on to your Digital Banking account once again.
  8. Click “Move Money”, then “Verify External Account” and verify the amounts.
  9. Begin transfers 🙂
