Meet Miss Rosie, Our Tails of Giving Winner!
Our Tails of Giving contest has officially come to an end, and we’re excited to introduce you to this year’s winner: Miss Rosie!
Rosie is an 8-year-old Heeler mix who holds a very special place in the heart of her family. Earlier this year, Rosie injured her leg while playing fetch during a family dinner. After five days of emergency veterinary care, her family learned that surgery was the best option to help her get back to the active life she loves.
Thankfully, Rosie’s surgery was successful, but the unexpected veterinary expenses, along with recommended physical therapy and supplements, quickly added up. Through Tails of Giving, First Credit Union was able to award Rosie’s owner, Kiley Jefferson, $2,000 to help with her veterinary care.
But Rosie’s story is about so much more than a trip to the veterinarian. She has been a source of comfort and companionship for Kiley’s family for years. During Kiley’s college days, Rosie became known for making her way from room to room, always ready to offer some extra love to whoever needed it.
She also shared a special bond with Kiley’s dad, Sean, lovingly known as Rosie’s “Grandpaw.” From lounging by the pool and napping on the couch to enjoying brunch at the golf course, Rosie and her Grandpaw made plenty of memories together.
We’re so grateful to everyone who shared their stories during the Tails of Giving contest and helped us celebrate the incredible bond between Arizona families and their pets.
A special thank you to our partners, HOT 97.5 and Squaw Peak Animal Hospital, for helping us make this campaign possible. We loved celebrating Rosie and her family, and we’re honored to have been able to provide a little sunshine during a challenging time.
